I am still doing research for this section. So for now here is the short version.
When Zecharia Sitchin was a boy he Questioned some of the meanings of terms used in the bible. The terms described ancient beings that came from the sky. So he taught himself how to read the most ancient recorded documents.To see if he could explain the origin of these terms.It led him to the oldest known written language of the Sumerians.
The Sumerians oldest known civilization to use written language.They date from about 3000 bc to 2000 bc. There writing was done in cuneiform script on clay tablets.*
Sitchin found on these tablets a ancient story of aliens coming to earth.These aliens,called Anunnaki, were said to have given the Sumerians all there knowledge.According to the tablets the Anunnaki live on a planet,Planet X,that has an elliptical orbit that passes between mars and jupiter every 3500 years.The tablets tell of a long history of the Anunnaki on earth.Visiting many times setting up colonies,mining for gold even fighting wars.But the most amazing discovery was that the Anunnaki were said to have altered the dna of ape men in order to create slaves.
Sitchin also tells of the different Anunnaki leaders on earth,and how they fought amongst themselves for power.The slaves were used to mine gold for the home planet.But soon the slaves grew harder and harder to control.The Anunnaki had altered their dna to speed up evolution.They got smarter and more independent.The Anunnaki who had controlled the slaves with punishment and promises,punishment being sent down to the mines(hell)promises being going up with them(heaven),could not control them anymore.Then when the top Anunnaki leaders found out that Anunnaki men had been sleeping with human females they had enough.
So when "planet x" came back around they knew its gravitational field would cause a great flood.They decided to just go back and just leave man to drown.But one Anunnaki took pity on man and warned man and built him a boat that would withstand the flood,Noah.
Sitchin does not state when they will come back.
